RESIDENTIAL SOLUTIONS
Residential solar systems generate renewable and sustainable energy for homes. There are several types of solar systems available, each with its unique features and benefits.
Our residential team focuses on solar solutions tailored to the customer’s specific needs taking into account lifestyle, power consumption habits and house architecture to design cost-effective and dependable solar solutions, tailored to suit each of our customers’ unique needs.
We are committed to encouraging the use of renewable energy as a critical step towards fostering a sustainable future and providing enduring energy solutions that adapt to the dynamic environment of South Africa.

System Types
Grid-Tied Solar Systems
These are the simplest and most cost-effective to install. Grid-tied systems generate power for your home and feed any excess energy back into the electrical grid. These systems do not function during power outages since the system is shut off to prevent back-feeding power into the grid which could be
dangerous for utility workers.
Hybrid Solar Systems (Solar-Plus-Storage)
Also known as grid-tied solar systems with battery backup, hybrid solar systems combine the best of grid-tied and off-grid solar systems. Like a grid-tied system, they can feed power back into the grid. However, they also have battery storage to store excess power for use when needed, providing resilience during power outages and reducing the reliance on grid electricity, which can be especially beneficial during load shedding.
Off-Grid Solar Systems
Off-grid systems are completely independent of the electrical grid. They typically have a battery storage system to store the solar energy for use when the solar panels are not producing power, such as during the night or on cloudy days. This type of system is more expensive and complex to install but can be a good option for remote locations where connecting to the grid is not feasible.
Solar-Plus Storage Microgrids
This is a type of hybrid system that includes a backup generator along with the solar panels and battery storage. This setup offers an extra layer of security, as the generator can provide power if the solar panels are not generating enough energy and the batteries are depleted.
